The iptables-persistent package can be installed with the following command:
$ apt-get install iptables-persistent
A method of configuring and maintaining firewall rules is
necessary to configure a Host Based Firewall.
The following script can be run on the host to remediate the issue.

# Remediation is applicable only in certain platforms
if dpkg-query --show --showformat='${db:Status-Status}\n' 'iptables' 2>/dev/null | grep -q installed; then
DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive apt-get install -y "iptables-persistent"
else
>&2 echo 'Remediation is not applicable, nothing was done'
fi
The following playbook can be run with Ansible to remediate the issue.
